Vltor ModPod? Almost top mounted.

Cheytac uses a similar setup on some of their rifles I have seen, but appears to be integrated.

The DSR-1 sniper rifle uses a more top mounted design.

I've never tried the Vltor bipods, but the idea seems like a good one. I'm sure someone here has a set or has used them. Good luck, there are more choices out there than I initially realized.

I just sold this rifle but I kept the bi-pod, I like them very much. The only thing you give up from some other bi-pods is a built in swivel feature.

What's the advantage/uses of a non bottom mount bipod?

Keep in mind that although the VLTOR bipods are awesome and very sturdy, you will want a flat surface to fire from. A Harris bipod, with the tilt/swivel function, allows you to level your rifle despite an uneven shooting surface.

ya i saw those there a little to rich for my blood, cant justify spending 575 on a bipod

i would like one with tilt but i am going to me putting this on my msar and dont want to lose the folding pistol grip in the front for a bipod
