Well I have been looking for a yugo m70ab1 for about a month now. For those not in the know it is a fixed stock yugo ak. Seems to me that there weren't very many of them made. To say there is a lack of them in the marketplace is an understatement. My two options are either getting a milled parts kit and having the work farmed out, which I honestly think is going to be out of my price range, or tracking down a pre built unit from century. I think the latter is going to have to be my options. Does anyone know where to find one these days? Yes I know I could get a folding stock version, but quite honestly underfolder aks do nothing for me. I have shot them and don't find them all that comfortable. Or should I break down and get a reweld done an a parts kit?

I have been looking too locally. I missed the apex parts kit deal a year ago on these. Maybe try gunbroker.

Here are a few on gunbroker. Check with the seller before you bid/buy if they ship to ca. There are a few gb horror stories floating around here from calguns members about uninformed out of state dealers.

are you looking for a stamped or milled kit? I saw a couple stamped kits, but they were in the $400 range

Why not get the kit and do it yourself? It looks like you guys have build parties up there: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=333079

You save some money, perhaps, but more importantly you know the ins and out of your gun.

Large numbers were made, but for whatever reason a large number of stamped receiver M70 parts kits were imported without the rear trunnion and butt stock. If you don't mind a US made stock, Ironwood designs makes brand new stock & other M70 furniture.
