who else pre-ordered a copy?

09-22-2010, 3:25 PM
I was never into pre-ordering anything and am just going to buy it in the store, but that's not stopping me from counting down the days. Cannot wait to play this game.

Until then, I'm using Red Dead Redemption and Claptrap's Robot Revolution (on the 28th) to tide me over.

Did you go all out and get the poker chips?

09-22-2010, 3:38 PM
I still need to finish Fallout 3.

09-22-2010, 5:06 PM
I didn't go all out and get the collector's edition; but I pre-ordered from amazon and they said I should receive it in the mail on the release date. plus shipping was free!

There isn't anything going for the collectors edition. The last one was great. Bobble head, lunch box. Good stuff. I can't wait for this game to come out!

09-22-2010, 5:22 PM
pre-ordered here. collectors edition!

09-22-2010, 5:53 PM
i have yet to finish the 1st one as well

It`s the 3rd one, if you`re talking about the console game. Fallout 1 & 2 were PC games from the 90`s.

Claptrap's Robot Revolution

!!!!! Woohoo! My boys have been bugging me for 4 months about New Vegas, maybe this will shut them up for a while. Thanks for the info.

And no, I won't pre-order. Christmas is soon enough.

Claptrap's Robot Revolution

That's Borderlands.

09-23-2010, 5:33 AM
Yes, another DLC for Borderlands will keep them busy until they get New Vegas for Christmas. Lots of overlap between people that play Fallout 3 and people that play Borderlands.

both games nailed the RPG/Shooter genre

09-24-2010, 10:48 AM

I can't get into this game.

I really wanted to, but no go.

09-24-2010, 11:13 AM
I'm hoping that Obsidian didn't botch this delivery. They have a history of taking good titles and making a sequel a big 'meh'. (See: Knights of the Old Republic 2, Neverwinter Nights 2)

09-24-2010, 6:07 PM
Really looking forward to the 19th I handed over allot of my life to the last one.

09-24-2010, 6:35 PM
I loved Fallout 3, but it is a MAJOR time sink...

09-24-2010, 6:42 PM
The game will be a flop unless it includes Neil, a Landrover and a missing ex stripper.

09-24-2010, 10:11 PM
Im looking forward to New Vegas seeing that I went through Fallout 3's main quest three times and completed all the side missions plus DLC. 100+ hours. Damn. At least I dont play WoW.

09-25-2010, 4:52 PM

i have played through every quest in fallout 3, all DLC, and with every possible outcome, and have gotten all achievements. talk about a time sink....

yeah, im ready for another one. my poker chips will sit right next to my bobblehead on the dresser. :D

09-25-2010, 4:59 PM
conveniently I have the 19th and 20th off of work!

09-25-2010, 9:43 PM
Got my preorder in and am anxiously awaiting!

Don't forget Fallout Tactics. . .

09-28-2010, 5:34 PM
Got mine pre-ordered at Gamestop. I hope they have a midnight opening for the game. If they do, it's bye-bye sleep, work and friends.

God I can't wait till this comes out. This game is perfect for the shtf/zombie apocalypse people. Might have to watch "The Road" a few times to tide me over till it comes out.

Would the collector's edition include a set of clear heels and some GHP?

10-13-2010, 10:24 AM
I have the Collector's Edition pre ordered and I can't wait to get my hands on New Vegas. Fallout3 was awesome and one of the best games I have ever played.

10-13-2010, 4:53 PM
tactics was awesome. im holding myself over playing brigade 5

10-14-2010, 2:43 AM
Oh man, this is starting to feel like the last days of waiting during DROS. Anyone know if Gamestop is doing a midnight opening?

10-18-2010, 3:23 PM
I am purposefully not getting this one for awhile. I spent so much time on the last one and am scared to go back to the nights of 3 hours of sleep.

10-18-2010, 3:28 PM
I don't have the time to do rpg. I just stick with my fps and am happy.

Well, see, that's the good thing about Fallout, is that it's both a RPG, and a shooter!

BTW, my Gamestop is having a midnight opening, so I guess I won't be socializing much in..........7 hours.

10-18-2010, 4:45 PM
I'm playing Fallout 3 through for the 4th time with all d/l content and will be getting Vegas...but probably not till X-mas.

I can't get into this game.

I really wanted to, but no go.

sam here, my buddy brought it over and watched him play it but i ( and others) couldnt see how i could get into the game...as bad as i want to tho it looks so fun but awkward mechanics... give us a review maybe ill snag it!

ive played fallout 3 well over 500 hours total. this is a very conservative estimate. i enjoyed every minute of it. once you get used to the handling of the game, it is very easy to play. VATS will help you any time the screen gets too hectic with bad guys, so it isnt really that hard to master the battle functions. it plays a lot like any other fps. the button layout is different from modern warfare, but not by much. you should definitely pick it up, or at least try fallout 3 used, you can return it in 7 days if you buy a used copy. best game ever. and ive played a lot of games.

10-18-2010, 9:25 PM
I have Fallout 3 and really enjoy playing it,but i have to say that New Vegas doesn't look as good of a game in my opinion.
I guess i'll have to play it sometime to find out for sure.

10-18-2010, 10:34 PM
Very excited for fallout vegas. But I won't preorder it.

Bethesda games always ship buggy. I'll wait for the first patch and avoid some frustration.

10-20-2010, 5:52 AM
Omg its the best game ever. A reloading bench? Are you kidding me? 38spl works in a 357? Srsly. You all may not see me on here for awhile.... :D

10-20-2010, 6:24 AM
I'm watching the walkthroughs in real time on YouTube.

It looks like a slow start, but it has potential... You save your spent brass and can reload it... There are lots more armermant types, and you can load for different properties.. I.e. Hollowpoint, armor piercing, semi wadcutter, etc.

So far the story line has been a little slack, but it's picking up..

I would be locking myself in a room with it, but I'm too buisy dealing with school stuff and projects...

10-20-2010, 6:55 AM
It does start a bit slow, but I can already feel it starting to ooze with content. Just wish that work would stop for a week or two so I can focus on more important things, like getting through some town called nipton. Seems they like to crucify folks round those parts...

10-20-2010, 9:04 AM
I have been a crackhead about this series since playing the first one in college. First collectors edition I have bought. Should have bought the collectors edition for "3"...

Oh, just in case anyone has some Fallout schwag they want to sell:

Get your priorities straight. The wasteland needs a new savior.

I love New Vegas. Seems more like an expansion, but thats a good thing. Dont fix what aint broken.

10-20-2010, 3:31 PM
I am about 9 hours in and I am loving every minute of it. The additions they made to the ammunition and firearms is amazing.

The Collector's Edition Strategy Guide is going for $20 on Amazon right now.
