hi, my friend just called me and said after 4-6 shots of his 1944 mosin nagant the bolt got stuck. i was wondering if anyone knows how to get it unstuck. sorry no pics of it....thanks

Plastic mallet will usaully do the trick. Might want to check the headspace and/or clean and polish the chamber. Also some mosins will get "sticky bolt" more frequently with laquer coated steel case ammo. My $.02

Google, "Mosin, sticky bolt" and you'll get the common cures. ;)

Clean the chamber. Also check the bolt,last night mine wouldnt slide properly, so I took the bolt out and noticed that the long metal piece thats on the bottom of the bolt wasnt seated properly. took it apart and resembled it and it worked like a champ after.

thank you for the help... i ask him and he did say that he was using laquer ammo... he said he will let me know what happens..

I always thought a big rock was the correct tool for that.. no?

i have been reading either 2x4 or rubber mallet was the right tools...
