What gun do you most regret not buying in the past year...or longer if one really sticks on your mind.

Mine ~ IMB M-1 carbine that was at Irvington Arms for a very reasonable 475. It was an import, but still well worth the money and as you know...IBM carbines aren't exactly easy to come by. And, given what IMB has become there's something extra cool in that. At any rate, looked at it, didn't buy, and then of course when I wanted it...well, you know how it goes...:(

I'd have to say a CMP Garand. I know that they only went up $50 but still, I wish I would have got one then....

Springfield M1A "loaded" stainless barrel. They have gone up in price quite a bit in the last couple of years and I wish I had bought one earlier. But, the nice thing is, I can still get one, just gotta pay a couple hundred bucks more for it.

I was offered an old Colt Python in excellent condition for $750 and passed. :(

hmm, ask me in the fall...

I would say that I regret waiting so long to finally buy long guns. I was dead-set on buying a Blaser 93 when I got back from OCS, but I ended up blowing it on computer stuff. I definitely learned my lesson, and now spend all my money on guns/ammo.

SVI or a STI.

BigMac just pointed out that the SVI is on the list. I get my bonus money on June 9th. My 50th birthday is June 10th. I might be getting one....

I thought about a 50 BMG but didnt really want to reload or deal with finding a place to shoot it.

I should have got one anyway! Other than missing the boat on the .50 i bought every other gun i wanted last year :)

IHC Garand. :(

I should've bought it along with my 03A3, but I flipped a coin and the Springfield won.

Oh well, I'm buying chickenfried's Garand, so my 20th century military rifles collection is complete. A Carbine and Johnson will round it out, but those are "bonus" rifles.

I was an hour late, and a mouse click short for scoring a 10/22 for only $175, but at least another calgunner took advantage of that deal.

I'm glad I didn't do it, since it would've been illegal.

But, I had a chance to buy an AK-103 built Saiga conversion, their $899 model, in perfect condition, with two 30rd mags, for $450 back in 2003 or so. Best part is, I knew the guy who had it, and I know it wasn't "hot" - just illegally imported.

I chose to remain legal, but I still think about that one.
