Here's the deal:
I have a Glock 17, He has a Remington 870p. He lives in Reno, I'm in Sacramento. Is it possible for him to come to a Gun Dealer in Sacramento, and we could do the trade there? I know since I'm a Cali resident I can't buy guns at an out of state Gun shop.

I'm just trying not to have to pay $50 for a transfer. Let me know what my options are.

Thanks
Jason

Yes he can come down to california
and sell some guns to you via PPT.

No, he can't do a PPT with you. He could leave the 870 with the dealer and have the dealer do a "dealer sale" to you (with a transfer fee), but PPTs must happen between two California residents with valid California IDs.

I belive he must be a CA resident to PPT, otherwise it has to go through a Dealer Sale or Dealer Consignment Sale. Check with your local FFL.
