After you get a scope sighted in on one AR15, is it possible to mount it on another AR15 and get it sighted in and move the scope back and forth between the 2 if you write down settings?

It depends on your mounts but yes it can be done.

Flat top. I guess I need rings too, right?

Mount a good pictanny rail thed use good rings like Badger, etc. Once you get the rough zero differences between rifles you should be able to transfer between rifles and be within .5 MOA or so.

I only have the rails that came on the uppers from Spikes and DPMS. Are those okay?
Then do I leave the rings on the scope and make a note of where the scope sits on each rifle?

In theory it should be ok to do. There could be differences in alloy flex of the upper, torque differences in mounting. That said, if you are just target shooting I wouldn't worry too much, and you should be fine. If you were to use it to hunt or something like that, I would recommand a second scope.

Give the Larue LT104, ADM, or BOBRO mounts a try. You may experience a slight shift in zero but it can be easily corrected.

1) yes
2) yes or you can mount the scope w/ rings on something like this http://ustacticalsupply.com/arms36exextendedosrswansleeve.aspx and slide the whole unit on and off. The sleeve is kinda tight fit to the upper, so it might scratch up the rails on the upper. That should keep the zeros closer. OR http://www.americandefensemanufacturing.com/view/product/5/ This will eliminate the other option.

TAKE YOUR PICK ... :D
