At a gun show recently I purchased a 9mm upper. I put it on and have a mag block and a mag from a carbon 15 pistol upper my buddy has. It fed and the firing pin hit the snap cap properly. I need some advice on a buffer and spring. Do you guys have any suggestions. Am I correct in believing a 5.56 set up won't work? None of the components are Rock River.

I bought this for my 9mm AR. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=125&t=263131
contact him, he has different ones depending on what kind of stock you are using (carbine or rifle).

I suggest the spikes 9mm buffer and a standard carbine spring.

as long as you are using a carbine stock, then a 9mm heavy buffer is all you'll need.
