I was in my local gun shop rappin' with a cool shop owner when I saw an FN P9 and P40 with night sights for $589.99. It comes new in box with 3 magazines. Was thinking of getting the .40 'cause it's the same price as thr 9mm.

I have been curious about FNH pistols. Is this a good deal? What are peoples'experiences with the FN pistols?

It seems a bit high to me.

I've had great luck with my FNP40. Not one gun related malfunction in 2k+ rounds.

$589 sounds a bit high to me too, but its probably around what I paid for mine. The shop had it, and it was what I was looking for so I was willing to pay the elevated price.

Unfortunately, I do not live anywhere near a Turner's. I'm up near Sac. :/

$589 sounds about right to me if they have Tritium night sights.

Now that I think about it, I am wondering if this FN P40 actually had true night sights on it. The price tag mentioned having "night sights" and I remember seeing Trijicon sights on a gun but it may have been a Sig or an HK. I'll have to verify when I go back in sometime later this week.

All the FN's come with 3 mags.

I bought my FNP 40 2 years ago for $580 with trijicons from Ammo Bros. I remember the non night sight versions were $550 so I got the night sight version for only $30 more.

I think I saw a FNP 9 with night sights at River City Gun Exchange for around that price. I was there doing a PPT for my P229 so I really didn't need to take a close look, well my wallet didn't. Having shot the FNP 9 I love it, and would get one, but I wanted a P229 first. I really should limit myself to three 9mm, the G34 in OD being next but maybe the FNP 40 will be in my future. The one thing that I don't like about CA FNP 9s is that we cannot get the ones with a safety. Just kind of annoying. I personally think that it is a good price since at Bud's price you still have to pay the higher transfer rate + dros and possibly tax because it is being transferred from a business.
