I have one on my Colt 6940 patrol rifle...the s model ...love it...
took the gun to Thunder Ranch last spring and shot the mid range rifle course...no problem out to 300 yds...
the best part...
51 years ago I was born with a left eye that never fully developed center vision...
I see the sides fine but the center is legally blind... 20/240 corrected...now I never worry about it and have shot well my whole life... just one of those things...While at Thunder Ranch...one exercise was to shoot out of various ports and hit an ipsc target at 100yds...one of the ports required using the left side...couldn't do it any other way...period...nada...so I tried it with the left eye...
hit the target 4 out of 5 shots with my left eye..nothing to brag about mind you but I hit it...dang...that M4s sight rocks...When we later had to do it quickly, I simply rolled the gun on my left shoulder to my right eye and shot the snot outa da thang...cool sight...
you really do get what you pay for with the aimpoint
and I just leave it set at setting 14...battery is good for what..10 years set like that...man...

I love mine, hope you get as much good use of it as I have! :).

Hopefully I will get to take it out soon and try it out. Maybe it will mysteriously migrate to my rifle!

X-NewYawker, your SOCOM looks dangerous w/ the M4s on it!
What does it offer that the T1 doesn't? I'm just curious.

I think it has longer batter life and I think the tube size is larger.

i guess things are a bit cooler when you dont have to use them ALL the time like in the army... lol.
