Almost picked up another wheel gun today. Was at Bass Pro shop with a friend getting some hunting gear for him and there she was whispering my name. A 4" Blue Ruger GP100...They actually had a good price on it too, $475. I almost bought it right then and there, but resisted the temptation. Hard to do. Saving for my next purchase or maybe another AR build. I'm still in my stupid CA 30 day window anyhow.

I know...Gotta stick to the priority list though...I'm thinking a 1911 first, then another AR, then another wheel gun...So, it's probably #3 on the priority list.

Atleast you have a priority list I can't go to any shop that sells guns because I'll buy something that is on the list just not in any order and whine about it later.

Dhena, that's part of what makes this hobby so interesting!

Can't go wrong with a Ruger GP100.

You'll get one sooner or later.:D

Had one when they first came out in the mid 80s. Had to sell it cause i could'ent hit sh*t with it. Gunsmith said it checked out. So now i stick with autos.

I already have a 6" SS GP100 and I really like it, that's why I want another, but in the 4" or maybe even the 3".

@ plan-b, you are right about that...

i know it's hard to stay on track sometimes; focus is not always easy, and those impulse buys can be extremely tempting. :)

I've never gone into a Gun Shop and not walked out without purchasing a firearm. Kudos to you for being able to resist temptation.

My biggest issue is going in for something specific and buying something that catches my eye instead. I've had a list for years but I always end up with some "great find" instead of picking up what I went in to get.

What 1911 are you looking to get?

i can relate to that.... i've been slowly replacing several (many) guns that i had to sell many years ago.

i guess the good news is that my taste hasn't changed all that much since the 1980s and 1990s.

still... those wild hairs we get.... :)

I have the same pistol in Nickel. Changed to Hogue grips and love it. Got the thing back in early 90's and looks and works like the day I got it.

@luckygunner...not sure which 1911 I'll get. Once that "project" actually gets funded, then I'll think seriously about which one to get.

@ojisan...ha ha. Good one. It's Regalado with an E...ha ha...and it was a 4" not a 6" and it had the hogue grips...but good one. That's about what I heard in my head...haha
