I was looking for a sling mount at the buffer tube and found this thing. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and how they like it?

Are there any other mounts to look at that are not real big and allow ambi mounting and full closing of the stock?

I was looking at that one a couple days ago.

The price is high, other than that it looks good.

There's no need to try it since magpul already nailed it.

The tactical link has been out for a while and seems to work well enough. I haven't heard any complaints. For similar products you might also try the Magpul ASAP, Noveske QD plate and the ikickhippies SLAP. FYI, the Magpul and ikickhippies don't use QD mounts.

I like the idea of the Magpul ASAP but I don't like the reality of that ring clinking against the steel rod...

I was thinking about making something like that Noveske, now I don't have to, thanks.

I've tried the ASAP with the MS2 sling. Doesn't make anywhere near as much sound as you would think.

Can an ACS go to full forward position with the Noveske QD plate?
