View Full Version : Thinking of Buying a Socom II in Socal

Hey guys, first post here.
I had a couple questions regarding buying a Socom II here in Socal.
First off, I remember there was a wait on these last couple years. Is that still true? Also, How much should I look to pay for one?
Finally, what's the process of buying one online (from an auction site) and having it shipped to a FFL?

just got one from the private sales forum.
There was a wait on everything when Obama came to power. Everything seems to be cheaper and in stock nowadays.
I've seen them anywhere from $1300 to $2000. I got my SOCOM II, extended rail 2 weeks ago for $1300, in almost new condition. I've seen some other ones in the private sales forum hovering around $1500

First of all, Welcome to CalGuns! You will find loads of information and a wealth of smart, experienced people.
I have seen a new SoCom II run from about $1700 - $2000. The wait is not as long as it used to be. The trick is to find one in stock. I bought my M1A Scout in North Dakota and had it shipped to my FFL, saved about $400.

I found a cool calgunner who traded with me for a socom 16. The usual price tag I see on shelfs brand new is $1700 that being said, you can find the at buds for liek 1500
but if you include transfers and such it comes out to around the same.
