I purchased a blackhawk front and back plate carrier harness that I plan on using as just a molle style vest for some run and gun style shooting. I paid 50.00 for it in ACU and thought it was a good deal.

Does anyone have any info on how these hold up.

Did I get a good deal or buy someone else's problem.

I have not yet received it but here is some info including pics of the actual plate carrier in "Like new condition"

I have the exact same rig. I love it. I was thinking about buying some plates in the very near future. I paid 60 for the chest rig alone. Normally it is around 130. I guess blackhawk must have had a typo and sold it for cheap, but I got Damn lucky. I still need to buy the back harness. all in all you got a good deal. Ill suggest you look for deals on pouches. Opticsplanet.com usually has it. Just practice with it because if your not familiar with it, it will be awkward once you really need it... Have fun man

Educate yourself on body armor and ratings. I've seen so many people run inconjuction plates without IIIa panels or make really poor choices on armor in general.

This is something that my friends in the Israeli army pointed me to:
