Seems like my google-fu is only bringing Amazon as the best place to get this sight. Any other local/internet suggestions?

Found one for $465.00, but have heard of lousy service from these guys.
BOTACH TACTICAL (http://www.botachtactical.com/trrmrsi.html)
Also found another one HERE (http://www.bestscopesonline.com/content-product_info/product_id-3608/trijicon_rmr_8moa_red_dot_sight.html) for $499.00.
You can also try calling EURO-OPTIC (http://www.eurooptic.com/), as they may be able to order it for you. (I received a screaming deal on my Meopta K-Dot from them).

Check with www.manventureoutpost.com but you will likely have to email for exact price. Saved a ton of cash there on my ACOG.

Try SWFA as well, I've ordered a scope and tons of odds n ends from them with super fast turn around and shipping.

We appreciate the plug ;)
Trijicon RMRs in general have been pretty hard to come by this summer, we perpetually have them all on order all the time.
What we currently have in stock is the basic RM02 (got about 10 of these) and the RM02-34.
1. RM02 Trijicon RMR™ Sight (LED) — 8.0 MOA Red Dot (NO MOUNT) ($478.90 as of 9/16)
2. RM02-34 Trijicon RMR™ Sight 8.0 MOA LED Red Dot w/ RM34 Picatinny rail mount ($539.87 as of 9/16)
Our turnaround is about 24 hours from the time you place the order so normally its out the door by the next day.
Since all of them are over $99 per order, we offer free shipping on all of them.

Are couple of questions please.
Most Trijicons if I'm not mistaken are USA made, is the RDS-TRJ-RMR-4-MOA-SIGHT?
How is the battery replaced, is removal and remount necessary or is there a battery drawer?

It is made in USA and the battery compartment is at the bottom of the sight, so you would have to remove the optic to replace the battery. However, given that Trijicon advertises battery life at 17,000+ hours, I don't imagine you would be doing that too often.
