View Full Version : Ar15 trigger scraping BCG?

Im finding that my trigger is scraping the bottom of my bcg. scraping may be a bit extreme, but it's certainly wearing and rubbing pretty hard.

I just wanted to check if that's normal and if there's anything I can do to fix it.

well, thats the only way i know of to reset the hammer.... maybe im missing something? :confused:

are you sure its the trigger or the hammer its hitting?

I think you mean the Hammer. As it would be a bitt hard to have the tigger touch the BCG. In any case the hammer hitting the bcg is normal.

Yeah that's what I thought and ment! The bcg scrapes the hammer. I thought it was normal but I just wanted to check with the pros.

The BCG has to come in contact with the hammer when the action cycles or else the hammer won't reset. Either that or the hammer sheered and the gun isn't firing :P

that is the normal operation of the AR-15. make sure to keep the bottom of the carrier and the hammer lightly lubed.

In order to post youtube videos, make youtube tags and then copy and paste the url between the tags. Cut out everything except the parts after "v=".

Completely normal. Just make sure to put a thin layer of grease or oil where you can see the metal to metal contact.
