I just wanted to share this experience with you about my new iron sights on my AR. We went out to try the Troy Di-optic rear sight with the Troy HK style front sight. I must say; I and everyone else that tried them were very impressed with how quick target acquisition was. Those Clays didn't stand a chance. I liked the way the Di-optic's Aperature made it easy and quick to find center on the HK type sight, then anything on top of the pin was dead.

Really like the Di-Optic rear sights. Frames the target extremely well.

Why did you use the hk kind instead of the Y kind?

I wonder how this rear sight would fair with a PRI front sight?

Did you not read Dreaded Claymore's response to your very same question earlier in this thread? Yes it works with the FSB very well.

Why did you use the hk kind instead of the Y kind?

Because the Di-Optic is round and the HK is also round, forces the eye to line up to circles and anything sitting on top of the pin is dead. You have to see it for yourself. What amazed me was how quickly you can acquire a target.

What a cool thread - bought this exact setup as BUIS for my 308 AR, haven't had time to pull the scope off and test yet.
