View Full Version : What's your favorite site for buying accessories?

I posted what should I get last week but I can pick up on Saturday finally and past due on going to some websites to buy what I want. I know there are sponsors here and fine with that but lots,

I'd like to hear what your personal favorite sites to buy from are. I'd prefer not in California so I don't have to pay taxes.

Also, where do you guys buy ammo in bulk? I'm assuming you can't buy online of course right? heh. dumb question to me but I get surprised by answers some times.

I'm buying both at stores and online:

1. A hand thrower for clay pigeons.
2. Cleaning kits for a G19 and Rem. 870
3. Holster maybe. No CCW and they're pricey for nice ones so might wait.
4. Lots of ammo
5. Boxes of clay pigeons
6. Possibly the tac light for the glock 19.
7. Eye and ear protection
8. Trigger locks
9. Maybe some targets for some of the ranges that are just dirt hills.

I've had a lot of people tell me Wallmart for ammo and stuff but the closest one is an hour and a half a way. Maybe it's worth it, I doubt it though.

Thanks for all the advice in the other thread. I'm not trying to make a duplicate. Just looking for great sites. I have searched and I have googled plenty. I just want to make sure I'm not missing a great site.

Thanks as always. A great crew here.

ammo, clays, clay thrower, eyes and ears, cleaning kit, trigger lock, targets all can be found at walmart. may not be worth a 3 hour round trip drive but if you ever pass one, make sure you stop.

i like to buy my stuff from places out of state who offer free shipping on at least some of their inventory.

here are some:

http://www.aimsurplus.com/
http://www.galatiinternational.com/
http://www.44mag.com/

surprisingly, www.amazon.com has a lot of gun accessories for decent prices.

MidwestPX for mags!

they are great if you are buying more than $125 for free shipping. 44mag.com also has low priced mags with free shipping with no minimum. they are in Oregon so you might get it sooner.

Honestly, I usually stick to Brownells for most of my accessories unless it's really specialized. They've always treated me well, shipping costs $5 for small items, and I've always been taken care of if issues arise.

Cali limits mags to 10 rounds so how many mags to you suggest I buy? It comes with 2 mags already.

I feel like having a high cap mag for the ranges that are just in the middle of nowhere but don't know what the fine is.

Not just a fine. Jail or prison depending on how it's prosecuted.

not just a fine and jail time. a felony conviction also means no more guns for you. for the rest of your life. not worth it.

buy rebuilt kits for the purpose of rebuilding legally owned prebans. Or buy them for shooting out of state but keep it disassembled until you are out of Ca. Another reason people buy them is to legally and permanently convert them to 10 rounders.

Everyone does.. but people who are too cool for school think because it's mainstream that it automatically = for n00bs.

Midway is great, especially if you get a 03 FFL so you can get dealer pricing. The discount is minor for many things but for consumables like targets and other items the dealer price can be half of retail. I recently placed a $100 order with them for a bunch of misc stuff and saved about $50 using my dealer pricing.

My several years in criminal law in college helped me with that. thanks though.

i get good prices from Midway... but shipping is a little slow.

Brownells prices are high with some items but selection is wide and varied, and with fast shipping.

many accessories i get are purchased from online auctions.
