I'm planning on buying a Saiga 7.62x39 for a project, I can find plenty of them on gunbroker etc at high prices, but a lot of the major outlets I usually deal with are out of stock or backordered. Is the demand that high or was there a re-call i don't know about? Not trying to disseminate FUD, just curious. I guess it's just one of those classic deals where you always see the gun you want everywhere until you decide to buy it then it vanishes.:chris:

There was a thread a little while ago where a few of us talked about this. Basically it boils down to Izmash getting some Military contracts that have taken priority over the civilian firearms production.

Here's the link:

Thanks for the redirect. My local shops sell em for $529, ridiculous. Bud's is backordered at $349 shipped and Robertson Trading post wont ship em to PRK even though they're allowed.

I'm only 85 miles from the OR border so CWS is not really in my sector. Have heard alot of good stuff about them from other Calgunners, FWIW.

Yeah I had to order mine through a local shop but I'm probably 5 or 6 hours south so that's definitely a ways off. Got a good deal though, $345 before fees, $403 and change out the door.

Call redwood marine in eureka ca. They had one a few weeks ago (may still have it) and I think it was $399. Not bad for this areas prices. Ask for Robert he's a good guy.

Number is 707-443-7029

FAL7.62, New plan in place, you will still be doing some of the conversion (and I won't pay you so I guess I shouldnt say that like it's a treat) so don't complain. Plus I want the saiga so I can keep the straight stock on, swap some compliance parts and convert it to run AK mags.

Redwood Marine, big thumbs down. I only went there once, they talked a lot of trash about other shops in town, then offered me a law enforcement discount on a Glock 27 with night sights of $739 + tax & transfer. The guy acutally "challenged me to find a better price anywhere in the county". Bought one at Old West from Kevin for $600.

PS: Patrick and everybody else, check out the M$ vs. ACR thread started by that stormy guy. It's F-N retarded. I'm telling you, I only made it through the first page, saving the rest for later.

Try DDsranch.com and get Kevin to transfer it with "the discount."

They have 4 in stock still.
