Is this true? Is this a good argument against high mounted scopes?
If you tilt the rifle to the right or left, randomly, even when shooting off sandbags on a bench, this “canting” results in bullets landing in the direction of the canting, and some what lower, because the reticle is no longer directly over the bore.

Well, that sucks for trying to get a high mount so you can still use iron sights.

Get a bubble level. How far are you shooting, what are you shooting, and what is, I guess, your overall application?

I'm tryin to decide whether to put a mildot on a Saiga with a high mount, or just go with a red dot. I'm thinking SHTF 300 yds. max.

You can go with both and a couple QD mounts. I like ACOGs for middle of the road application
