Single shot .45cal cap lock pistol kit, from the mid 70's, sentimental value only, built by the wife's Great Uncle. You bought them in the 'white' and rust blued the barrel, and finished the stock. Thing weighs as much as 2 loaded G17's... it would easily double as a club. I'll clean it up and hang it on the wall. Imagine this was the coolest thing you could carry almost 180 years ago, course it helped to carry 2 of these, and a big knife. Other than the stainless steel nipple, and synthetic ramrod, it looks period.

I have one just like it my dad made for me when I was a kid. Great shooter and very accurate too. Mine has a dark brown walnut stained stock and browned barrel with a belt loop on it to hang off a belt.

I've got the flintlock companion to yours. Made in Japan? IIRC, it's stamped on the inside of the lock and possibly under the barrel.

I have a feeling I'm going to go looking for it tomorrow. I'll post pics if I find it.
