View Full Version : Who plans on selling their receivers (or buying more)?

05-09-2006, 8:25 PM
Are you selling?

Are you still buying?

*raises hand*

Still waiting for , Grenadier Precision, Ratworx and Colt CAR-A3 HBAR ELITE to arrive...

I'm considering if I want one of the "US Property" marked Rock River Arms lowers...

Who else is IN the game still?

This changes nothing for me, I'll go with a detachable magazine / no pistol grip setup if I have to.

I'll be picking up my next lower from the gun exchange on the 15th.

If I had the money, I'd definately buy more. I'd also get a FAL receiver or two.

well, if any body is selling, let me know, Ill be happy to take these off your hand :D

This changes nothing for me. If they force me to, I will reconfigure my rifles to a gripless configuration. Personally, I think victory is at hand and today's memo is a HUGE victory for us. It just shows out out of options the DOJ is and how desperate they are to attempt to stem the tide of recievers into the state.

If they change regulatory definitions then thousands of other weapons will become Assault Weapons overnight. People with SKS rifles, M-1 D sniper garands with flash hiders, FALs, PTR-91s, and so much more will also be forced to reconfigure. I expect this memo to eventually be taken down and a new one to be put up in the future.

The DOJ got OWNED, they're just not willing to admit it :D!

Im already in with four and I plan on riding it out until the end. Then when I have grandchildren they can ask me " Grandpa what are those black door stops?" Then I will tell them they are the last of the AW door stop rush in2005-2006

I have four rifles coming in! Can't wait. Either way, I see this OLL lasting for a while!

Reasons why:
1) Its just a memo
2) No clear definition on what a fixed magazine is but according to the current definition, we are in full compliance.
3) No official signature on the memo
4) SKS/FALs---> AWs?
5) DOJ clearly states that any OLL is legal to own and purchase---> no time constraints--> but will not sit on my a** in bringing in all the goodies. :D
6) Its just a memo
7) Its just a memo
7) ITS JUST A MEMO!!!!!!!

Mike, please give me a call or e-mail as soon as you can.

Oh, I'm still buying for my own personal collection, very much so.

I'm picking up my third out of DROS next Monday. I can build them up w/o the grip and let them sit in my safe. If I ever move, or go on a shooting trip out of state or the, "***** hits the fan" such that I need a rifle configured like that well it'll be there waiting...

Of course I may also just sit on them and put my dollars into a Springfield SOCOM or M1A, a rifle which I can enjoy w/o catching nasty stares and worrying about going to jail over. We can duke this whole lower receiver thing out in the coming months if not years if needed...

Colt CAR-A3 HBAR ELITE ......"US Property" marked Rock River Arms lowers...

I've got 8 coming in on one DROS, and then a FAL that I ordered last year should be coming in soon. I hope. Although if that FAL doesn't come in soon, I may have to order a second one somewhere else.

I have no problem with building to a gripless spec. I think it'd be a fun woodworking project to make a new stock to fit an AR and be CA legal.

05-09-2006, 8:55 PM
I'm staying with what I have: 3 AR's and an AK. That's enough for me!:D

05-09-2006, 8:55 PM
Im pretty good w/ the lowers for now but if I can find a Offlist Colt 9mm, then maybe I will have to step up.

Id still like to get ahold of a few things other than AR15s before the lawmakers get a chance to ban them.

1. USC
2. PTR91
3. Bobcat
4. PS90
5. SL8
6. PPSH41 (come on boys lets make it happen!)
7. PPS50
8. ???

05-09-2006, 8:57 PM
Hell, I already bought them, I am keeping my seven.

05-09-2006, 9:09 PM
Still got my 10 AR's and 10 AK's, still got my order of 9 AK's coming in.

Still on order for a PTR-91.

Still mulling over a Bobcat BW-5.

And although I've said I'm largely out of the AR game, if someone can find me one of those Jolly Roger lowers... yeah, I'll buy that.

05-09-2006, 9:13 PM
I *almost* ordered a lower last night. Even emailed CWS and everything.

Looks like that money is going towards my M1A fund now.

05-09-2006, 9:19 PM
6. PPSH41 (come on boys lets make it happen!)
7. PPS50
8. ???

PPSH41 would be interesting. Ever fired one in person?

One of the other rifles I am working on getting right now is an SSG-97. Can't wait to get that one.

Still in the game. Double digits.

Well I got a Vulcan already and still may pick up an OLL. I really don't care if it has a welded fixed mag. I would rather have a fixed mag than register. I like the OLL with a fixed mag because you are not limited to the three (FAB, Carbon 15 rifle, Vulcan) that the state says you can only buy because it is approved.

05-09-2006, 9:59 PM
For now I'll stand at 5, but I might get a Rock River LAR-10 when it comes out. Hopefully, a friendly out-of-state FFL can install an SRB for me.

Who else is IN the game still?

I want and need more.

05-09-2006, 10:16 PM
Non-listed, non-SB23 if barrel is >16.25" w/o FH.
Yummy. :D

05-09-2006, 10:19 PM
Hey! Did you photoshop something? :D

05-09-2006, 10:23 PM
That's my photoshop creation! hehe.... I want one!!!

05-09-2006, 10:36 PM
I'm in the market for RRA lowers..... locally in SD.... PM me.... ;-)

I need to buy MORE lowers now.... that I have to PERMANENTLY install the magazine......

05-09-2006, 10:46 PM
I'm cool with the AR lowers, probably more than I originally planned. I mostly did out of spite since I still have one being held captive.

I'd be down for an MGI and/or LAR-10.

sell? no way! All have a unique story behind them.

05-09-2006, 11:01 PM
I would so want one of those Jolly Roger lowers also.

I think I need an SKS as a legal defense at this point. Plus its fun to have the DOJ point my shopping list in the right direction.

I think I need at least one more AR lower and maybe I need to begin looking at the 7.62 lowers to have a younger sibling for my m1a1.
