Did you need a magazine lock? In California I've heard different things. Is your considered a pistol?

I have the MPA 9MM it has the fake can and no mag lock. They are DROs'd here in CA as a single shot pistol unless your LE. You can covert it into a semi auto pistol once you have possession (remove single shot sled add 10 round mag) I love this little guy!

Is the confusion based on the concept of a shroud?

Apermanently affixed compensator would be safe but could someone argue that a can is acting as shroud?

" (C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer
to fire the weapon without burning his or her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel."

With the "meeting lenth" I was wondering what you mean. The place I just ordered mine from said once I buy it that I can send it in the mpa and they with put the original barrell, but without the threads. Is there a minimum requirement for the barrell?

If the fake can is permanently attached it is not a barrel shourd. It is part of the barrel.

I noticed the bottom of your surpressor has a rail. Looks super sweet. Where can I get one like that?

Q: When you DROSed it as a single shot pistol, didn't it come with a mag lock to lock in the single shot sled?

I would think that one would be required. If not, wouldn't they just be able to claim that it was a detachable mag pistol w/ a single shot magazine vs. a (with maglock) single shot pistol with no ability to add a second round without disassembling the gun?

This is how mine came. It came as a single shot just like this pic. I asked if I can add a longer barrell and they said I shouldnt because that would be a forward grip

Also the magazine is in the grip so I dont think thats an issue with the magazine lock. VS my draco, that has the magazine not in the hand grip
