I have a .38 revolver that gets out saturday, but I most likely won't be able to get over there until next monday...

Got a shotgun that went into jail saturday, and it'll most likely sit there for 3 weeks before I'll be able to get there...can only go on saturdays, and the first available saturday will be a wedding for the wife's family friend, and I really don't want the wife to go with me to pick it up if you know what I mean.. :D

got a 10/22 that I had for a week and sent it back to Ruger. They replaced the whole gun so it has a new serial #. It took about 3 weeks for them to get it back to my FFL and now I have to do the DROS over again. Over a month ordeal.

Just started the wait for a Remington 700 in .300 Win Mag today....

A guy I work with started the wait on a .300 Win Mag a few days before me at the same shop. He's the one who put me onto the 870 for only $250 out the door.

Not at the moment, but the time will come again.

However, until those ten days are up, you should keep in mind that it's illegal for you speak your mind, vote, demand a search warrant, be tried by your peers for the crime that you are also required to incriminate yourself against, and by god if a member of the military feels like ransacking your home and raping your family members, you're obliged to open the door for them... but only for the next 10 days. After that, you can have your rights back.

The 21st for me, picking up a CZ SP-01. The 10 day wait for your 7th gun seems a little over the top.

Well, I'm a member of the military, so I guess I'm in a gray area on that last one.

Yes I am quoting my own post. I forgot to add I recently bought a gun from Big 5 and the 10 day wait begins. But it does not start until the next day so the day you buy the gun does not count. So you wait 10 days from the second day but o hey you still cannot pick the gun up on the 10th day you have to wait until the day after the 10th day. So in total you have to wait 12 days. :censored:

DROSing my M&P 9 this Friday. Then the 10 day wait starts D:

At least at the shooting range I bought the gun from allows me to shoot it on location during the 10 day wait period.

Sorry, birthday boy only. :p

Actually, the more the merrier, but I usually shoot on Beale AFB, or in Spenceville at lunch during the week (when it's a little less crazy).

Man, I will probably settle down in either AZ or TX. Either way, I'll feel real comfortable about the gun laws.

Closer and closer. I was at Wal Mart today looking at a few things, loving the price of ammo vs my AR. Gonna need some new ear pro, maybe a sling . . . definitely a sling.

I just bought a ruger 10/22 from that awesome turners sale, but my 10 days hasn't even started yet because it's backordered.

Don't even get me started on this retarded 10 day bull****... It's not like I don't already have a glock, AR in 5.56, and a Mosin in the house right now or anything...

You know, that's a good point. The 10 day wait makes sense if you don't already have a gun (not really, but for argument sake), but if I wanted to hurt someone why would I go buy a new gun to do it? Maybe make me wait 10 days for my first handgun, but after that maybe just a day or two for the DROS and paperwork.

Heh, you should have seen me when I was in the market for a Ruger 10/22 Target Tactical. That damn gun was on backorder for 3 months. I had to wait about 2 months before I decided to just buy the VLEB model and just swap out the stock. That was the longest 10 day waiting period ever.

my thoughts exactly, if you already own a few why the full 10 days?

my Kel-tec gets out 8/31 !!!

my thoughts exactly, if you already own a few why the full 10 days?...

So... tempted... to go... on... another... tirade about this...

I inadvertadly created a 3 page thread on the subject while I was waiting for my Mosin. It pretty much came down to general lawmaker ignorance, "feel good" regulations, and a straight up desire for some to infringe on our rights where the 10 day wait exists out of spite for not being able to ban firearms altogether.

In the end, the consensus was that the 10 day time period was an arbitrary number no different than 1 day or a 100 years, and that having to wait any longer than the 15 minutes or so it takes to do the background check is a direct assault on the Second Amendment.

Anyway... Turner's still hasn't called me, so I should probably just assume I won't get my 10/22 till sometime around January. I did go out and buy a box of 500 rounds of Remington and a crappy $20 scope during lunch... just makes waiting worse.

California should really think of the bunnies in this case, because if I don't get this .22 by the time I get my hunting license, I'm going to be making a mess out of rabbits with my AR instead.
