View Full Version : Notice on San Diego's Sheriff election.

From the the folks at Gun News Daily. Hope folks down
south will read this..If we can't get rid of em up in
Sac, maybe the bottom line is to try and rid anti gun
politicos from local office by way of elections. Anyway >

The current San Diego Sheriff Bill Kolender is in favor of gun control
. We have observed him in many public forums and he has supported a
number of anti-gun laws. He has done this to the extent that at times
he placed the County of San Diego in violation of State Pre-emption Laws.

Bruce Ruff, his challenger http://www.bruff4sheriff.com/ is pro-gun.
He has spent time with the board of the San Diego Rifle and Revolver
Association. We are convinced that he will support the Second
Amendment and create a "shall issue" CCW environment in San Diego.

The problem is that the local media is soldily behind Sheriff
Kolender. Roger Hedgecock of KOGO radio has said that he will NOT
have Bruce Ruff on his show without Sheriff Kolender. Sheriff
Kolender frankly has nothing to gain and everything to lose by
debating Bruce Ruff.

We must lobby Roger Hedgecock to and other media outlets to have Bruce
Ruff on their programs otherwise he will not have a prayer of getting
elected. PLEASE email the following two shows and ask them to have
Bruce Ruff on their programs.

Rick Roberts - rickroberts@kfmb.com

Rodger Hedgecock - roger@rogerhedgecock.com

If anyone has other suggestions on radio stations/programs to lobby
please let us know.

Jim - San Diego Rifle and Revolver Association

I had the pleasure of meeting him in person at the El Cajon Gun Exchange when he was stumping there. Very pleasant person. I asked him very directly about his stance on issuing CCW's. He is shall issue. He told me that he would like to get input from local gun owners and FFL01 dealers as to how best to implement training, qualification, etc. I like someone who actually requests community input instead of just telling us how it will be. He's got my vote.
