Im building an AR and im interested in having some kind of iron sights down low for quick acquistion on close targets, and a scope up above for reaching out and exploding a prairie dog.
Like I said this is a project so im open to all suggestions that dont have me spending tons and tons of money. what is the best combination of height of the irons, and what kind of mounting block would be necessary to utilize the irons under the scope with see thru rings.

thanks for any help you guys can up with.

I would just get scope with small red dot using scope ring or angle mount

something like this
