I did a dive out there..by the casino a few years ago. Not much of a fisherman myself but i saw some huge gropers...groopers? Not sure about the spelling. Maybe 7 ft long and at least 200lbs. Also tons of crabs climbing around. Good luck!

Those were probably black seabass you were seeing tat were that big. also it is grouper. It will be a very crowded boat since everyone is in a bind for money and a lot of people are not working.

so hear is my report went with a group of 3 I like this boat the pursuit because of the price 45 dollars all day wednesday normal price 60 dollars. this boat get filled 75 people the best spots are near the back and back sides of the boat, but in order to get one of these spots you must be near the front of the line when they start to sell the tickets @ 5:00am their were people standing in line before 4:00am. dont forget to call and make reservation if you plan on going. this boat has 45 bunks that are open so you can sleep in first come first serve another reason to get their first in line. enough basic info so now about the fishing how was it? it was good we caught 7 bonita and 2 calico bass, we were catching alot of shot bass and quite a few bonita broke off, but thats because are fishing equipment is thrift store cheap, the drag dont work proper. all in all it was a good day the weather was ok.
