View Full Version : Looking for an old "anti-registration" postcard

I'm looking for a copy of an old postcard about gun registration....

Here's some history. My grandfather passed away in 1973 when I was about 13 years old. He was a nice man.
I remember he was an avid sportsman... hunting, fishing, etc, and he had a large assortment of antlers around the house and in the garage. He also had a nice case full of guns, and I know he belonged to the NRA.

I also remember a postcard that sat on his desk in a small picture frame. It was there for years before he died, so it must have been from the 60's. Or maybe 1970 at the very latest. I don't know where he got it.

It showed a black & white caricature of Adolf Hitler. Hitler says, "In order to make ze Fatherland safe, first ve must register ALL firearms!"

And then at the bottom of the card it says "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it."

Does anyone else remember this card? Know where it might have come from, or where I could get a copy?

Thanks much!
