I LIKE IT!!:)

Very nice Jon! We had a Crony at the range for club members.......till someone shot it:mad:

I'll have to make one just like yours for the new Crony

What is a Crony condo? Is it a little safe house for a chronograph?

edited: changed meter to graph.

Exactly. It's a small steel housing to protect the chronograph.

Alright, I'll admit it. I'm on my 3rd Chrony. But I'm a decent shot I'm serious! :p The problem I've decided is that they're not exactly the best chronographs out there, so when it's not picking up the shots, I shoot lower and lower and lower until OOPS. :rolleyes:

It's ~$40 to replace the body from Chrony so it's not the end of the world. I've often thought of trying out better/nicer chronographs but I don't feel I'm worthy. But now if I can make a chrony tank like yours I might be able to justify it. Thanks.

Golly, I think this gave me a better laugh than you intended!

Cool pics! For some reason, I read the subject as "Chrony Condor" and clicked in: "Hmm, a chronograph... where's the bird? Hmm, funky rusty metal tray, no bird... Wow, cool spaceship-looking thing! Wicked!"
Then I realized what I was looking at. :o

Based on the spelling, I thought it was for high ranking friends of political figures.

Please excuse my ignorance, but aren't you supposed to have the end of the barrel of the weapon close to the chronograph? I have never used one, nor have I ever seen anyone use one, but it seems logical that you would want the volocity readings coming from out of the barrel, and not 50 yards away. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

well to ancer the ? if your to close the blast will effect the reading,so i like to be abought 8-10 feet with rifle you can be closer with a pistol

Also, some will shoot thru two chronograph, one close and one at a set distance to calculate the actual B.C of a bullet.

Big Jon, Thanks, I never thought about muzzle blast affecting the chronograph.

50BMGBOB, What is "B.C" and if you only shoot through one chronograph, then what kind of reading do you actually get?

Sorry for the questions, but like I said earlier, I know Nothing about chronographs.

B.C. = ballistic coefficient
