matt and i got this one in a field of tall weeds, note the frount hafe of the pig looks alittle mudder than the back hafe, thats because we had to cut it in 2 for the long walk back to our trucks, i got the front hafe and had fallen in some mud......

I live in Apple Valley, and was wondering, I have never seen a pig around there. Luckly We have good quail, chucker, and dove hunting.

Ducks last year down the hill from Mammoth, on the Owens river. I had the Merganser drake mounted, the taxidermist told me he found a partially digested trout in his crop!

Doves a couple years back in the desert "somewhere between Victorville and Barstow".

Most of my hunting is out of state now, I've taken a few piggies in CA over the past few years. I'll try to find pics.

Hey, we have those in San Jose too! darn it all... we can't hunt 'em though :( Although I hit plenty of squires & opossums on the road... see plenty of raccoons on the side of the road too. Of all the wild beasts around here... I'd like to hunt boar one of these days. Not sure how I'd do though. ;)

Nice boar, Good to see fellow High Desert folks on this board. I am in Apple Valley. See more quail than I would know what to do with in my back yard every day. Never have seen a hog around these parts though. Coyote is probly the largest wild animal I have seen here. But some of the Jacks are bigger than dogs too so its a tossup.
