View Full Version : Grip suggestions?

I'm looking for grips to put on a Colt Python, because the regular grips keep slipping when using .357 magnum rounds (sweaty palms.) Any suggestions?

Hogue and Pachmayr both make rubber grips for the Python that shouldn't slip. I just don't like the way black rubber looks on a blued revolver.

Totally agree with the black rubber/blued revolver thing. How far up and down do the grips cover? I just need more grip towards the top, and I can sacrifice the bottom-half to have it ride higher.

Many of my wheelguns have wooden Hogue grips, not the rubber/neoprene ones. Some are smooth, some are checkered. I prefer smooth myself.
I have no slippage problems at all as the Hogues are finished off with something like Carnuba wax and they're a tad 'tacky' to the touch and don't seem to slip.
Plan B is to use a shooting glove.

lol...get the white one w/the shiny studs on it. :D
seriously, tho, you can always get something like the hogue handall and slip it on/off when you shoot.
