Can I get a confirmation that this Yugo semi auto is not legally an SKS?

It's legal if it doesn't have a grenade launcher. Therefore, some importers replaced the grenade launcher with the muzzle break to make the gun legal in Cali. An example would be Century Arms importer that des this. Its Yugo SKS rifles are sold a lot in Cali.

The colloquially-termed "Yugo SKS" is not an SKS; it is a Zastava Arms Model 59 or Model 59/66 carbine.
Calling these Zastava carbines by the term "SKS" is exactly the same misassignment as calling a Stag-15 or a CMMG-15 an "AR15".
That solves the make/model issue and says it's not an SKS.
The DOJ in fact, in a memo about their attached G/Ls being DDs, calls these rifles by their proper make/model terminology to identify them.
