Ok so if I have full cap mags and order repair kits that are better than my full cap mags, can I dissassemble one of the originals and assemble the new ones legally?

The new ones from all comments are better than the factory mags and I want to try them out while remaining law-abiding.

Great, thanks for the help. Looks like no testing for me.

You can try them only if you promise to never again use 'full cap' to refer to a magazine in California.

You get 'large-capacity' magazines, 10+ rounds, and everything else.

Remember, for a vanilla 1911, 'full cap' is 7 rounds.

I dunno, I got a 10 rounder for my 1911.
