I'm going to be in downtown San Diego for a few days this week. Any gun shops to visit near Horton Plaza?

I'm pretty sure Krasne's is no longer in business. They were supposed to have closed their doors for good a few years ago. They used to a be a great shop. I bought my first Smith and Wesson there a long time ago. HTH c good

Shows how often I go Down Town. The Spaghetti factory is gone also so what other reason do I have to go there.

I don't know of any gun shops in downtown SD. That doesn't mean there aren't any. You can find several in East County though. Southern California Guns is a small mom&pop type store in La Mesa that I like. There's another gun store almost next door too but I never go in there. There's a couple in El Cajon and you can probably find a million gun stores in Santee. As far as Sporting Good stores that sell guns, Turners is in Kearny Mesa and there's a Big-5 in El Cajon.

There is a So Cal guns on Convoy in Clairemont. If you want to go further north, there is a good shop call Precision Arms (they did most if not all of the FFL transfer for the lowers at a recent show, good folks) in Escondido.

There's also American Shooting Center in Kearny Mesa, and the closest to downtown, as far as I know, would be Discount Guns on Morena blvd.

Good luck.

Here is a list of known gun stores/ffl dealers in San Diego. The list looks complete to me and have been to most of them.

Also, there is El Cajon Gun Exchange...

I'll be down there Tue-Fri but for business. I was hoping to spend my lunch time cruising a good gun shop..Unfortunately no time to go to a range!

Well, if you get any free time in the evening on Tues. there is a tactical night in Santee at the Magnolia Range. But I definitally understand being busy on a business trip.

It's far enough away I wouldn't go there on a lunch break.
