That is too cool. I just watched a couple of videos (had no idea what it was). I can't believe that in this nanny state we live in currently that they are not regulated??? Or am i wrong are they regulated in some way?

Have any calgunners received theirs yet? Does it really put out 1000mw and if it does, is it pushing the diode to an early death? Is that lightsaber housing made of aluminum and does it look as if it could be chucked into a lathe and turned down to an inch 30mm at least?

We should take bets as to who's the first calgunner to successfully stick the thing on his AR build.

i thought this particular model was on hold due to some A**hat suing them over the resemblance to a lightsaber

damn thats nice, i wanted one when i saw it. Looks like a wicked lightsaber and i think Georgie is actually trying to stop them from producing it cause they think it looks too much like a "Lightsaber". I total digging the blue laser tho, red and green is played out. Have fun, and dont shoot anyone in the eyes

China does not recognize lawsuits from the US, since WL is a Chinese company they are immune to any lawsuits from Lucas. They also weren't the ones calling it a lightsaber.

They're coming out with a kit so you can mount it to your rifle and have a finger activated switch. Should be nice if you run it in pulsed mode with the flashlight or floodlight lens on it. The beam should be spread out enough to only cause temporary flash blindness with those on.

Some fool is going to be playing with it in the house and hit a mirror or something reflective and bounce it back into his eyes.

Oh, thats a given! Unfortunately they'll still be able to breed.

It comes with a free pair of laser safety glasses to prevent that.

It's not a toy. We also have fast cars, knives, and volatile fuels sitting around, but we know to handle them with responsibility. I am not picking on you specifically, but if someone hurts themselves or someone else with this, they were warned and should have known, and have only themselves to blame.

Still waiting... I requested the G2 with the smart switch, figured it would be useful... I hope it ships to me within another month or so !!! :P Only been waiting since early June at this point.

Some fool could be playing with a gun and shoot themself, should we ban those?? lol, this laser is FAR from the most dangerous item I have at my house.

That is one crazy hand held laser. Does anyone know if it is the most powerful, available to the general public, under $300 laser? I'm just curious.

I started watching one of those videos and woke up an hour later with my head down and a puddle of drool under my mouth; what happened, I must have fallen asleep?

There's a few other companies selling 1 watt 445nm blue lasers, they're probably more powerful too since the reports I've been seeing about the Arctic show it to be tuned down a bit. There are more powerful hand held UV lasers around too, I've seen one that was around 5 watts. Dragon Lasers is a good place to look for a 447nm blue diode hand held, cheaper then WL too.
