Very nice couple of guys in there, good attitudes, decent prices. 60 or 70$ for an internet/mail order transfer. They have free snacks and juice, water cooler, very nice clean bathroom. Very casual and laid back.

Been in a few times, always greeted by happy smiles, decent conversation no FUD gloom and doom. There were a couple of kids in there last time, the guys were very cool and patient with the kids, this place is the way a gun store should be.

It is in the old brown stone building. Little hole in the wall. Was there last week returning from Solar Cook Off in Taylorsville. Gentleman and lady serving a father and son. Very friendly. Very helpful. Not a huge selection but had some handguns and long guns. Nice Italian beretta 92 $650. Didn't see much ammo. As Bigjfb mentioned, very nice fokes. Their prices where not great but I will gladly go back and support a mom&pop brick and mortor store.

From back in late January...

Everyone,
I had to head back up to Lincoln, Ca to attend a wake for a family member last weekend. Two good things about visiting family up there are the Casino (Thunder Valley) and the local Lincoln Shooting Range. I did not have the opportunity to visit the range this trip (time constraints) but did manage to find a new Gun Store in the heart of Lincoln called the Lincoln Gun Exchange.

Upon entering I was warmly greeted by the owners, Randy and Helen Johnson. First off... and I want to make this very clear... I was actually "greeted and welcomed" upon entering their store. None of the "what the hell do you want", blank stares, or total dis-interest I have met at other stores.

I walked up the the counter and was suprised to see AMMO! They actually have AMMO. The prices are right on base with today's market and the selection was good.

A nice selection of new and used (consignment) rifles and handguns also graced the display cases. Not the largest selection mind you, but this is a fairly new and smaller shop.

I can say that I expect big things from this small store in the near future. The owners are genuinely interested in the sport (and the future of it) and understand that customer service in this industry is paramount to building a following.

I brought up CalGuns and out comes the Sport Utility Rifle Flow Chart and Bullet Button paperwork. He is deffinately looking into carrying the beloved Sport Utility Rifles in the future.

I really enjoyed my time chatting with Randy and Helen and will be droping by everytime I head north for a visit to watch the shop grow. We even joked about the shop's slogan.. "The friendliest gun store in Lincoln". :D

Just thought I would give a little head's up to those in the area about something we all need; an honest, welcoming, helpful local gun shop.

Regards,
Mike
