Since you're checking out this forum you probably enjoy photos - especially firearm related photography; if you do we can use your help! A group of Calgun members are putting together a “Quick Reference Guide” (QRG) which will be distributed to gun owners across California. It will have information about firearm laws, shooting facilities, Calgun activities, and other subject important to our community.

The QRG will be about 12 pages, full color, and produced by Calgun members with publishing experience – it will look great! We’re going to offer it at gun shows and other public events, and we’re going to try making it available at every gun shop in California – it will be our public calling card, and a very attractive and useful one.

We’re doing pretty good on the editorial content, and most of the graphic elements, but we’re a bit behind in gathering the photos needed for our project, which is where you come in!

What kind of photos are needed? We’ll need picture of you and other Calgun members! We really want to expand our ranks, so we need pics of a good cross section of Californians of all ages and backgrounds, we have a spot for a picture of a California courthouse, there’s room for some images of Calgun members, another page needs a nice photo of a California city police badge, there are a few specific shots of handguns, rifles and shotguns that we really need, and did I mention that pics of Calgun members are always welcome?

As the final layout takes shape we’ll have a better idea of exactly what’s needed, and no doubt there will be plenty of changes as the deadline nears. So we’ve set up a special thread that will have a “need list,” other details, and just a place to share ideas about the project.

So please charge up your camera batteries, clean those lenses, and help us put together a fantastic publication to educate, entertain, and grow our Calgun community!
