I was browsing through the DOJ website and came across this:

http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/Cfl2006.pdf

It seems to cover everything, but it's 2006.
Have there been any new laws established since then besides AB962?

Would it be a good guide to have if someone wanted to keep sharp with the law?

2007 is available here (http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/Cfl2007.pdf). 2008, 2009 are not available.

If you like a few pages of Penal Code and related other codes to carry around, it's OK. No interpretations in those files, though.

You can use the Penal codes from the PDF to get the whole explanation of the code/law in here.
