I thought I was getting a good deal on these Metalform 1911 9mm magazines, got them at CDNN sports INC for $14.99.

Went to the range today and this is what happened:

The bottom fell apart and the other magazines have cracks already and will most likely suffer the same fate.

I am posting this to warn fellow calgunners to stay away from these junk.:D

I wonder if they are "real" Metalform mags? I've never had issues with mine, but didn't get them at that price...

Hate to say it....you get what pay for.

i'm thinking this too, Metalform mags have been pretty sturdy in my experience (they are the standard mags for Ed Brown 1911s)

the question should be why did CDNN have them on sale?

Kind of have my doubts too since I did google and made a quick research on Metalform mags before I placed the order.

Read about CDNN from another forum that caters to 1911. Most of the comments were positive and they were raving about the amazing price on the 1911 45ACP Metalform mags. This one: http://www.cdnninvestments.com/19457rdblmag1.html

Not sure how these 45ACP mags will hold up.:(

Never seen anyone running them in competition, and there's a good reason for that. Why buy junk when there are so many excellent 1911 mags out there? These are a little more than $15... Does that Metal Form look anything like the real Ed Brown?
