Hi all, just wondering if anyone from Calgun might be selling off list lowers at the next gun show on May 6th and 7th at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. :) Thanks in advance.

Not selling lowers, but I will be there patrolling the aisles scounging up deals on powder, primers and brass.
If you see some old, bald, heavyset guy with a camo diaper bag, that will be me. Just stop me and introduce yourself. It might be fun to see a face and link it with a name.
Please do not buy all the Miwal ammo......

TTT.
I have never been to a GS at the Cow Palace. I was thinking of going. Are they worth going to or is it the same as a Cal Expo show in Sac? Maybe get some OLL depending on what will be posted on the DOJ site later this week.

Are popular calibers such as 9mm, .40, and .45 generally cheap at the Gun Show? Cheaper than lets say Walmart white boxes?:D
I plan to be there. I have my to-buy list.

Miwall is the only reason I go... other than that, thay've got some decent (although VERY overpriced) jerky. I was at one of the Cow Palace shows a while back, and ran into my Ex-Girlfriend's dad... he was running a booth selling some old Soviet crap and jewlery.

Actually, I think the WalMart deals are about up, reports are they are increasing the prices to the point that it's comparable to online ammo of better quality.

Miwall sells online exclusivley through outdoormarksman.(I believe the owner's son moved up to Oregon and is running outdoormarksman as an oregon company...). Their online prices and gunshow prices are approximately the same, but you don't end up paying the s&h and hazmat fee. I feel that your best deal is with the box of 500 or 1000 rounds.
If you buy from them, go to their table first and buy what you want, they will hold it for you. Last time some a-hole snagged a 500 round case of 40 from me 2 seconds before I picked it up and he wasn't even sure if he "needed" that much ammo... that jerk!.

The last time I went was the last Del Mar Gun Show in April. I picked up 1000rds. of 9mm. and 500 rds. of .45 acp. reloads for under $200.00. Jerky prices were a joke. If your looking for swords, airsoft, or beanie babies, this is for you. One good thing is you can renew your NRA membership for $25.00 instead of $35.00 and they wave the entrance fee. The prices on firearms were higher than the local vendors.

Do they sell things like hard rifle cases or surplus rounds?
I would love to pick up a couple cans of surplus rounds without the $30 shipping charge. :D

Yes to both, although most of the cases they offer at the shows are softsided. If you look around, you should be able to find a hard case to suit your needs. Another good thing to pick up is paper targets, cleaning supplies. Paper and patches are usually cheap at the gun shows.

I usually use Big5 $20 hard cases. It's enough for me.
I usually download targets from internet and print them on letter-size papers in my office.:D

I made the 30 minute drive with a buddy this morning to the overly price Cow Palace gun show hoping for a few deals on ammo, reloading supplies and maybe a hidden treasure. I started at Miwal and bought some " supplies". Other than that, I didn't spend a dime. I should have stayed home. I did see a nice Seacamp .32 that was sweet, but to much dinaro....I would say 75 % of the show was not gun related..... let me reword that.... the only way it could be gun related is if I took a Remmy 870 and blasted the SH&T off the tables and out the doors.
Rant on:
No deals, overpriced guns, little OLL stuff, cranky old men selling coins, stamps, strange men hitting on me to sample their Beef .....jerky, Jewlery that would make HSN envious, Ninja swords galore, enough knives to outfit china with a dozen each, home alarms seemed to be a big hit this show.....along with the 4 flippin aisles of crap ranging from household items to baseball cards and magazines, the smell of stale perfume messing with my head from the bag ladies selling who the HE(L knows what it was.
When will this misery end.....PLEASE bring back one decent gun show in our state....or the internet will get a substantial portion of my money this year.
Rant off:
Save you money, support your local gun shop if you choose to do so, look for bargains on CalGuns, but stay away from the crap fest once known as the Cow Palace gun show.

I went to the show this morning and bought some .357 and .223 ammo from Miwall. I also got some rifle primers and 3 lbs. of powder. The prices for small quantities of powder and primers are cheap at the show, considering the shipping and hazmat fees for online shopping. Miwall didn't have any bullets, which was a disappointment. The biggest surprise was the CCI .50bmg primers being sold by one vendor. Noone who reads Very High Power would want to buy that stuff, but it was there for sale. There was another guy from Reno who's a .50 shooter selling A-Max and Harlow bullets. He also had IMI .50 primers and I bought 200 for $30. I didn't ask about powder, but he says he stocks .50 reloading supplies, hope he goes to more of these shows.

Miwall also had several cases of IMI M855, 5.56mm 62gr ammo (green tip).
1200 round case for $249.95
I was looking for 62gr ammo to shoot out of my 1/7 twist AR, so I picked up a case.

I went and checked out the show as well.
Miwall was the big attraction at the show, as usual. There seemed to be a few of the usual vendors from previous shows missing at this one. Most of the OLL stuff was of the POS variety. One of the magazine vendors had Bushmaster 10-round AR mags for $23. A couple of vendors had DPMS LPKs ($70 at one vendor). Sonoma Arms had .223 ($230 and up) and .308 ($330ish?) lowers for sale. A couple of vendors had the new XD 45 4" for $550 and $580.
Picked up some of those stripper clips from Miwall as well. Got several different kinds of .22LR ammo to try out in my Sig Mosquito. Also picked up a battlepack of the Wolf M193 ammo to try out (labeled 'Made in Serbia').
Also picked up one of the new Streamlight TLR-1 weapon lights for a few bucks more than I could have gotten it online.

All I got was some 4064 powder and various .22 ammo. A buddy however, couldn't resist the Desert Eagle in .50 AE with two barrels, a scope, and four mags :D .
62 gr SS109 isn't that great. M855 is a 1.5-4 MOA ammo due to inconsistencies is centering the tungsten core.
So what would be a better (more consistent) reasonably priced option.

Milwall /Outdoormarksman.com has this on their online store;
Winchester 223 Rem, 62gr FMJ (USA223R3) for $240/1000 rounds,
but I didn't see it in the show

I thought it was M995 that had the true AP tungsten core while M855 was just a steel core.
