I know they say they're biodegradable, but does anyone else feel like they could be "littering?"

With adequate rainfall and proper PH levels white flyer clays can biodegrade in about 2 years. Wait what was your question?

Most of the places I shoot are on public land, so yeah, I don't want those pieces of bright orange clay sitting around for months looking like trash. I take the time to pick up all but the smallest pieces.

I think a faster breaking down clays would be epic...

they might as well start making clays out of kiln fired clay. most natural and will react to what the clays do now. and it would break down even faster i assume?

Preferably biodegrading about 1 second after exiting the thrower. It would make my job easier, and may even conserve ammunition :D.

I know this is an old thread and all, but just wanted to give an answer. I was told by an BLM Officer that if you don't pick up your clays, they can write you some citations. He also told me that I needed to pick up the not only the shells but the wadding inside of them. However it was quitting time for him and he said since all that would cause a bunch of paperwork and overtime he wasn't going to write any since he doesnt get paid for overtime. He then told us about another spot in the area we were in where we would be throwing them out over a canyon and wouldn't need to necesarily or be able to go pick them up.

Tight chokes and good hits . . . just have to find the hull and wad.
