Affirmative. It was adopted by the British Army. They reportedly ordered 440 units, designated the weapon the LM7, then redesignated it the L129A1.

They (LMT) haven't made it known quite yet when the longer barrel lengths or 5r barrels will be available. Given how hot the .308 AR market is now, I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

I love the rifle and the LMT Company. Sadly, I feel that their excuse to increase the retail price of this particular unit is plain greed. It just gets me how some manufactures of this industry play these games with the consumers. I truly was thinking in buying one when the price was 2.5k. At this current moment with the economy, I could wait for prices that will go down. I know that there are other manufactures making a 308 rifle. LMT at this moment has the ball in their court.
Rainer I love your company and your products!

I agree that the price is high and I did not want to pay it, but I plan on owning this rifle for some time.

When I looked at the quality of other offerings, I just liked the build of the LMT.
I ended up buying one from Rainier this morning - geez do they process your order fast :)
It's almost cruel that the rifle will be sitting at my FFL for 8 days before I can get my hands on it.
