Just moved to Roseville and want to know if there is anywhere to start getting invoved with competition shooting (any kind). Anyone know of locations or websites that might help? thanks!!!

Lincoln rifle club (range is off of HWY 65 RIGHT after Lincoln) has regular matches on many weekends.

I am in the same boat. Drastic newcomer. Picking up my 9mm tomorrow and shooting after work at Lincoln. My search also took me to USPA ........ Look forward to meeting some of you. Never heard of the Folsom Shooting club. Where is it ? I didn't see it on the web page :)

I shoot matches sometimes at Sac Valley, it's a good place and great for beginners. -Ben

Sacramento Valley Shooting Center is owned and operated by Folsom Shooting Club. It is located on the eastern edge of Sac County near Ione. You can get range maps and contact info by going to http://sacvalley.org. The main office can be reached at 916-354-9668.

So what kind of $$$ should i expect to fork out just to be able to go to some matches?

IDPA charges $10 first time, $15 for SDPS members, $20 for non-members. I think the other clubs are about the same, but you would need to contact them and ask.

Usual charges for USPSA club matches are $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
