I have a sig 229 with night sights i only use this for punching paper, it is a .40 cal and i am converting it to 9mm so i need some new sights.

Anybody know where i could get some three dot sights (not night sights)

or factory dot and post sights.

any imput is appreciated thanks.

Top gun supple has the sights you need. If I remember correctly, you need #8 front and rear sights for 9mm. I suggest you ask others which sight numbers they have on their 9mm 229 before buying though. Well hope this helps.

This article will tell you how to change them without damaging the gun.

I've done the conversion. Your installed NS should be okay.
You may want to use a 9mil mag and 9mil rated recoil spring. YMMV

A SIGforum member named Clubster has the the best price that I've found on SIG night sights. He'll even install them for a small fee.

Yes--we are talking sub-MOA changes at pistol range for the most part but some people are sticklers so sights might need to be changed. Me? I don't worry as sub-MOA at 25 yards is still close enough for all intents and purposes except competitions.

Its a far drive, but I had sites installed on my Glock 17 and 19 at River City Guns in South Sac. Just wanted to offer that up.

Good luck.

Thanks guyes
i think im going to stick with my factory NS
and if it is bad then ill ad some ameriglo lumanovas
i dont need night sights because this is not a defense weapon
and will not be used at night, i like the fullnes of the white dots on these.
But for now ill give the factory sights a try.
Thanks again
