Anyone see this show on Spike tv? Its a hugely pro 2a, pro self defense show I stumbled upon this morning. Show is about training ordinary citizens and crime victims to carry and defend themselves effectively. Features training, mindset, and crime victim re-enacments where a gun allowed them to defend themselves

Straigth up "educational" show with no reality BS. Show is sponsored by Ruger with comercials aired throughout.

I'm shocked that this is airing on Spike tv. Is this a sign that the gun culture is finally going mainstream?

Total rock-block of pro 2A programs on Spike from 9 to 11am. Just another reason this is one of my favorite networks.

Meh, so far I've seen an infomercial for ruger, one from Beretta and one from SIG. Still better than retin-a or ron popeil!

It's on right now (10am PST) if you have local SpikeTV channels. I missed it earlier this morning at 7am PST since I have satellite and east coast feeds.

Awww, I "just" missed it...it's 11:15am now.
Looks like it has a slot every Saturday 10:30am for at least the next couple weeks. There's also a show called practical tactical right before it....looks promising.

I will be looking out for it.

BTW, Outdoor Channel on Wednesdays has many SD programs, The Best Defense, S.W.A.T Magazine TV. They also air Shooting USA and a bunch of other gun enthusiast shows. They call it Wednesday Night at The Range TV or something like that but the programs start around 10:30 am and go off and on until midnight.

Saw it this morning when the kids woke me up. Very pro 2A, but a little slow and boring if you have a decent a mount of gun experience. No technique, tactics, training info was actually provided.

I did happen to catch that. My thought was "Wow...you know concealed carry / armed citizens is getting more mainstream when a major cable network is running a series on it."

That's great for us. the more exposure the better.

I like this thread. I hadn't heard of any of these shows. The only ones I know of are personal defense tv and guns and ammo tv.

The fact that this show was on SPIKE, a relatively mainstream cable channel owned by MTV networks was what suprised me the most.

I haven't checked them out yet but given the time slot & description, there's a reasonable chance that these shows are "time buys"... in other words, Spike just "renting" out the air time like with an infomercial.

saw both 'practical tactical' and 'concealed carry school.' the first was better, as it gave tips. the latter was more of a feel-good piece about the benefits of ccw. i'm hoping that they have better ccw tips/tactics in the future.

i much prefer 'top shot' on the history channel. it's like 'top chef' meets 'survivor,' but with all manner of weapons. pretty fun show.

+1

You read my mind! Thats exactly what I was gonna say and love watching in HD.... :D

I have not seen the conceled carry show yet, so I will DVR it for this weekend. I'm kinda hooked on all of these shows as well as the Davidsons Gallery of Guns TV Show that just started on the Sportsman channel. Now my cable provider (Time Warner) doesn't carry this station so I have to watch it online via the website @ http://video.galleryofguns.com/tvshow/default.aspx

They were on from about 10a-12p on a Sat. west coast time on Cox Cable, right before all the "Powerblock" car shows came on. That's a pretty decent time slot. For those with satelite and stuff, airing times might vary. Gerald McCraney was the host of the Conceal & Carry school show.
