So i went to Yorba Regional Park today,

Sat around for hours then about 6:30 i got 2 bites almost instantly,,

I caught 2 ~2lb cats

Nice catch! The only catfish I've ever tried was at Hometown Buffet... yes, sucks being a suburb dweller :(

Yorba regional is in O.C. thats where i caugh these!

I cut the heads off and de-gutted them at the lake then food saverd them.

Soak them in milk or butter milk for about 2 hours, it helps pull the muddy taste out of them.

Farm raised catfish look a little different than Native catfish. Taste different to.

Their tails look skinny also. the ones here in the aqueduct are huge and fight like crazy.

No. We deep fried the cat fish, they were just in the oven to keep warm while we made Hushpuppies

goodstuff man. just finished cookin up the last of the cats I caught last week. usually fry em but threw some on the grill last night with some cajun seasoning. and +1 on the soaking in milk.... how much is it to get into yorba linda?

what did u use for bait? ive been fishing at tri city and i went to yorba and ive tried mackeral, dead shad, and meal worms and no luck so far :[

Soaking any fish in milk makes them taste much MUCH better.
