What is a good reliable 10 round (.45ACP) magazine for a Springfield Pro 1911? Was thinking about Wilson or Chip McCormick? Any other that you would consider to be the best and most reliable?

Since the Pro has a mag well...would that have an effect on magazine type?

Thanks.

I like Wilson Combat 10, and 8 rounders. Just like their mags period.

Anybody got pics of the Wilson 10rnders in their 1911? I only see CM magazines for whatever reason. I dont really like the hefty look of the CM magazines on a 1911. Just doesn't look right to me IMO.

I just wished the Wilson Combat 10 rounders had a big oversized base pad (like the Chip McCormick power+ mags). Like the look of that.

I only use chip mccormick. the only time I got a willson combat mag it had problems locking the slide back. so I only use chip mags now since Ive never had any problems with them.

I will take a Chip Mccormick over a Wilson any day. I've only had one higher end 1911 mag ever give me problems and it was a Wilson. I've never had a problem with the dozen or so CM 1911 mags that I own.

So is the CM Power Mag+ 10 rounder the one to get?

By the way...what comes with the Springfield Pro...it came with 6 mags, but no markings so not sure who makes them. thanks.

YES! get one, you love it and you will end up buying another 4-5 like I did! :D just make sure you clean them every 500 rounds or so.

+1 I have used and abused the mags I have, cleaned em up and never had a problem... accept that one time my (unexperianced) friend loaded the mag wrong, since he had never done it before and I had fun figuring out WTF he'd done and how to undo it.

opperator error though.
