View Full Version : What cases to use for registered AWs?

I am aware that when you travel to a shooting event with your registered AW, you must keep it in a locked case. What are you guys using? Currently, I have a regular, soft Ace AW case that i put a luggage lock on. Will this meet the requirement???
I have an SKB hard case and that locks as well. As with anything regarding AW's in this state.I would go overboard on it. But a hard case would be the best bet. Not all law enforcement are ecducated on gun laws so be on the safe side. You can also ask the guys at the local gun store too.

Browning/Pelican hard cases... they're bulky, heavy and pretty expensive...
I really like the Guardforce case I recently bought. Sure, it's not as secure as a Pelican, Starlight, Harddig or similar, and it's probably a little less secure than the SKB, but it is thinner and a bit more attractive, and meets the hardcase requirement and is FTA approved...
