View Full Version : Letter Draft in Re: to Dianne Feinstein wanting to ban .50 Cal rifles

04-08-2006, 2:43 PM
Dianne Feinstein recently wrote a letter to Deborah Spero expressing conserns the .50-Caliber sniper rifle may be used by Mexican Militia and wishing to outlaw such rifles in the U.S.

I am writing a reply to Commissioner Spero stating a ban in the US would not stop the Mexican Militia from importing copies and clones from China, Russia, or other places.

I am having trouble writing this and putting it together. Anyone want to help out? Or toss some ideas?

Here is what I have so far.

Deborah J. Spero
Acting Commissioner
U.S. Customs and Border Protection
Department of Homeland Security
1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20229

Dear Commissioner Spero,

Recently Dianne Feinstein wrote a letter conserning the possibility
of the .50-Caliber Sniper Rifle being used by the Snipers in the Mexican Militia.
Mrs. Feinstein has long been an advocate of gun control.
And and she expressed her desire to outlaw the sale of such rifles in the U.S.

There is no evidance the Mexican Militia has obtained these rifles, or
is actually using them.

How would outlawing these rifles in the U.S. prevent the Mexican
Militia from obtaining copies or clones of these rifles from China,
Russia or other places where they are made illegally?

Support Gun Control. Move to China.
