and a few questions.

March-Spikes tactical stripped lower receiver
April- Spikes tactical lower parts kit
May- Rock River arms buttstock
June- Daniel Defense upper receiver and bcg

Due to budget restraints, its gonna be a part a month for a while.

Barrel, gas tube questions:
1)Any recommendations for a 16" barrel (possibly unknown but high quality)?
2)When the gas tube is inserted into the receiver, is it a tight fit, a
click, passive or does it actively engage the bcg.
3)Low profile gas block... is there much difference between brands?

Thanks for any info.

I would get a Daniel Defense barrel. High quality, not too terribly expensive.

The gas tube just slides into the hole, it's not a tight fit.

Not much difference between gas block brands, some are "micro" - small and light, others are full length (same width as standard front sight). Some are more "stylish" than others - should only be a concern if it is exposed.

Are you going for a railed forearm over a low pro gas block, or are you wanting an exposed gas block or standard front sight? If you want a standard front sight you should just get a complete barrel that includes it.

How fun, I guess I'm a member of the part of the month club too, though I've been getting 1 part each pay period.

This friday I'm picking up a buffer tube, buffer, and spring. Next pay period I can actually buy the stock :D
